Outline

Managers at all level in the workplace have particular responsibilities in relation of Health and Safety Legislation. It is important that they understand and know how to comply with these responsibilities. 

Aims 

To provide attendees with the required information and knowledge in order to understand their roles in relation to Health and Safety as well as being able to effectively fulfil these roles. 

Who should attend/Pre-Requisites  

This course is aimed at Managers at all level within organisations and companies of all sizes and would include Self-employed persons, directors, managers and supervisors. 

This can be tailored to an organisation needs taking account of current safety systems and procedures. 

There are no other pre-requisites.

  • Benefits of effective safety management
  • Safety and health legislation including duties and responsibilities. 
  • Relevant documentation – Safety statements, risk assessments, policies, plans and procedures. (Client specific examples to be used where available). Risk assessment workshop. 
  • Active and reactive monitoring – Auditing, accident/incident investigation. 
  • Influencing good safety and health behaviour in the workplace – safety culture.
